That car looks great, all around. You inspired me to get a number of trinkets to mod the interior. Curious if you ever got the 2018 console lighting kit, and if that swaps directly into a 2015 Fit? I can't find anywhere that says definitely one way or another.

I haven't got around to purchasing the console lighting kit. I was reading the installation instructions (here) and I can't find any reason why it wouldn't be compatible. Hopefully it is!

for my 2015, I went with 08E10-T5A-100. If you look at the 2 install pdf's, they do appear to be similar, and the 2018 PN should work.
I mean, those are two totally different parts, though. The 2015-17 part illuminates the footwells. The 2018 part illuminates the gear shifter console trim. I guess if the only difference were the light placement, this would be a plug and play with no concern (assuming the wire connectors are identical between model years, which isn't a guarantee). BUT, the shifter console and trim might be different sizes/shapes and without paying 170 just to experiment, I don't see anyone having done this swap in pre-2018 fit.
Long over due update: All good things come to an end as I officially parted ways with my Fit earlier this month. Not necessary because I wanted to but rather because my car was deemed a “lemon”. I was in and out of multiple Honda dealerships spread across many years for failing Ignition Coils. After 5 repair attempts, contacting a good lawyer, and waiting a full year, American Honda ended up “purchasing” my car back and then some.
On 11/25/2020 I decided to take advantage of Black Friday deals and jumped on the dwindling 2020 stock. I purchased a 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring at a fairly negotiated price. While I will definitely miss my Fit, I’m ecstatic with my new Civic.

Figured I'd chime in even though the OP said farewell to his Fit.
The center console trim lighting kit for 2018 and above works flawlessly in my 2015 Fit. No mods required. The "off" look is chrome, BTW. It's not apparent in the product photos. So keep in mind, as the interior metallic trim of the 2015 line is overall matte silver. It matches the rear hatch garnish on the EX, fwiw.
