NEW GK5 front A-Arms by Art of Speed Racing

We've got a revised and updated tubular chromoly A-arm currently in testing. Should offer improved turning radius over our v.1 racing arms

It doesn't come with the necessary bushings?

These arms don't use bushings. Looks like spherical bearings instead.

Just purchased

Can't wait to get these in the fit. They widen the track 1/2" to 3/4" if I remember correctly. I'll be getting upgraded axles for power and will adjust length accordingly. Has anyone heard of an equal length half shaft mod for the GK5?

Equal length drive shafts are not possible unless you change your gearbox.

From a DSM website: Using Equal Lenth Half Shafts on a FWD is supposed to reduce torque steer and wheel hop while improving handling and traction, especially during cornering. Swapping to Equal Length Half Shafts involves installing an AWD driver's side axle and intermediate shaft on a FWD DSM. This will only work on 1990 - late 1992 FWD DSMs. Starting in late 1992 the FWD's used a bigger spline shaft that goes into the transmission. The AWD splines are the same size from 1990-1999 and match the 1990-1992 FWD splines.

I was hoping to build an intermediate shaft that would come out the STOCK transmission, and then go equal length from there. Would be something that would mount to the rear of the block. Basically, torque should be the same as long as the shaft is perpendicular to the source. So the intermediate shaft is parallel to the exit from the differential. Then two equal length axles could connect, eliminating a lot of torque steer...

@CarbonTek Thanks for the update! I put in my order and they said they are making them and once built, they'll be shipped. Cheers! Good luck in Canada!
