HFP suspension compatibility

I tried to order the HFP suspension (08W60-T5A-100A) fir my 2018 LX 6MT from Hondapartsguys.com. But the seller insists that this part will not fit the LX model. If I do order it, the sale will be final, and waive the warranty also. Weird though, since the site (all others too) says that it fits. Knowing that they share the same body and suspension components, I don't see why the trims can be different. Anyone out there can confirm or have this suspension on their LX? Thanks

They should fit (pun intended) ask them to give you an explanation of why it won't... Unless you are buying the ones for the A/T... then they will tell you that... On my opinion... If you plan on track the car go for the A/T model.... If for daily use... Go for the 6Spd model

Don't you have that backwards? 6 speed for the track and AT for commuting. Not that it's really an A/T being a crappy CVT. Not sure a CVT would even survive track duty. They're barely strong enough for commuting.

I believe the AT model has a higher spring rate being that the AT car is a bit heavier than the MT. Hence better for track condition.

Yeah, I have a feeling they don't have the correct information. Now they are saying it will not fit on my LX because of where it's manufactured(Mexico)
And I'm trying to the buy the "A" model which is designated for the MT which my car is.
I don't really care because I know they will fit, but when they started to say stuff like they will not accommodate any returns/exchange/refund, I need to make sure.
Thanks for the suggestion too.

my two cents - do another retailer, or find a way to order from the retailer that doesn't require you to specify your model. yes, sure, the HFP parts weren't available for the LX, that's the point of a performance model, it gets the performance parts! .... but that doesn't mean they don't fit.

some of these retailers don't have any mindset beyond "replacing the old part with the (same) new one. which you can kinda understand, but that doesn't mean you can't upgrade your car to make it better with better parts if they were offered on another trim.

Even if that's true, I'd could just order the AT springs and install them on my 6 speed. I can't imagine an A/T at a track day. Letting the ECU shift gears defeats the whole purpose of doing a track day.

It's all the same. I love the HFP ride quality on my 2018 Sport CVT.

I msg all the Honda dealers they don't ship overseas. Tein is out of stock so I think BC racing coils is the only option at this stage

Finally installed it

Been busy lately, and kept pushing the install, but finally got the HFP kit on the Fit.
Install was pretty straightforward.
Couple things to note were to remember to keep the front spindle in position with a rope/strap so the driveshaft won't pop out, and also to tighten the bolts down with while jacking up the suspension with the floor jack.
Finally those top nuts on the front struts were a PITA to get off lol.
Here are some pics of the HFP suspension. The shocks are a little shorter so they will operate at the proper height.
The drop is a modest 10mm, but my aim was not to slam the car while respecting the original suspension geometry, so this is perfect.
There is enough ground clearance and stroke for city driving.
The ride is a bit stiff now, but nothing that kills my back, and body roll is minimized.
Very satisfied
Need to work on wheels next.

Thoughts on doing this? I've got a 6-speed but the M/T version of this kit no longer seems to be available anywhere.

What's the downside of installing the A/T version instead? Stiffer ride? Jittery handling?

Curious to hear if anyone has any experience installing the A/T kit in a M/T car.

i believe there won’t be any problems…. Either they are exactly the same or the A/T version are a bit stiffer on the front to compensate for the heavier transmission but Will most definitely pass unnoticed….

Weight difference and difference in distribution between A/T and M/T is so marginal, so A/T kit may be a great way to save money for M/T guys assuming that the threads conjecture that the difference is only spring rate is correct.

Link for weight info: https://hondanews.com/en-US/honda-au...tions-features

Also, I’ve read an install manual, and it’s same procedure for A/T and M/T kit. The one with and without the “A” are listed within the manual, so there should be no install trouble.

Does anyone know the spring rates of the kits? I have the M/T one. I asked HFP, and they said ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Stock springs are supposedly F1.8/R2.1 kgf/mm per this.

Do you guys think there would be any issues installing these on a 2nd Gen fit?
