Tanabe Pro S-0C coilovers (GE8) fit on GK5s
Tanabe Pro S-0C GE8 coilovers confirmed to fit and work on the GK5. I removed the helper springs in front, and for the rears i removed the bottom coil perch then spun the top one all the way down. Measuring from the frame rails, the car is 5" from the ground in front and 5 3/4" from the ground in the rear. Front is just about zero wheel gap but is hard to see because of being so sunken. Rears are tucking tire by a little. After the suspension settles and i get an alignment, ill toss the BBS's on.
Ride quality is decent. Its a bit bouncy (on bumpy roads) for my taste. While driving home at night just now, i felt like on the bad NJ roads, oncoming traffic or people in front of me probably thought i was flashing them (due to me bouncing). Rebound is much tighter and feedback is definitely better. Steering feels a little heavier. So far, so good.
Only thing i dont like, is that this car wasn't really designed to be slammed. Under car clearance is definitely sketchy, the aero piece under the front bumper is definitely going to scrape on stuff, but since i wont drive much i should be okay. The car definitely likes being lower, though (less wind resistance, im guessing). on a 35 mile trip home going 65-70mph the whole way, the trip computer said i did 49 MPG for the trip.
Was exhausted after working in 80F sun all day. Here's some quick pics. I was parked on a slope, so the car isnt flat. Also, im guessing it will get a little lower after the springs settle:

Settled a bit. Removing the collars to go lower was a bad idea. I think im running below the shocks designed limit and im hitting the bumpstops. After i get some pics, im probably going to raise the car.

Thanks for the complements. I am definitely pleased, the car looks so much sharper. I have been getting lots of complements.
The springs/shocks have settled and it is not as bouncy as it initially was. It's actually not too bad, depending on the road.
couple random shots after some rain. will do an actual shoot after i put the wheels on and clean the car:
