TANABE SUSTEC PRO S-OC Coilovers Installed on GE8

Hey what's up guys! I just wanted to post on here some pictures of my latest mod to my 1 month old FIT! My TANABE SUSTEC PRO S-OC coilovers!

This isn't the first or last car I have modded so I'm pretty familiar with many different setups and designs of all the various manufactures that are out there. Depending on the use of the car is what I base my decisions off of when it comes to suspension setups. I always try and do my research before I jump into anything and I wasn't able to find much info on the kit, but I know on my EG hatch the ride is great with the TANABE coils I have on it, so it was a no brainer when it came to picking this setup for the FIT since it's my daily.

I did not want a harsh, stiff, bouncy ride so I for sure did not want a monotube design which are usually more for track setups anyway. The dual chamber design on the S-OC really makes it a smooth ride that I really can compare to being stock, just better response when being pushed. The adjustment is really nice to, you can really hammer the car to the ground and the short stroke on the dampner allows it to still be a good ride.

In any case after messing with the car all day long yesterday trying to get the suspension dialed in along with the wheels, I still have a bit of fine tuning to do today and tomorrow. I will be rolling the fenders front and rear along with the added camber bolts in the front and shims for the rear to dial in all adjustments.

Since the install yesterday I have driven the car about 120 miles already and it handles so much better! Even with a loaded car it still rides great!

On to the pictures! These come assembled in the box already too which makes the install even easier! Compared to my EG where I had to piece everything together and figure it out LOL!

^^I'm currently waiting on my SSR wheels, but for the moment I am using my 2nd favorite wheel of all time which is the WORK Meister S1.

Not a fan of replica wheels, even if it is my daily. Don't get me wrong I would consider a few brands since they do look good and are a mirror image of some of the more expensive stuff. I rather save up my pennies to buy the real deal, you can't comprimise on the quality.

^^ I actually had a friend of mine that is direct with TANABE pick them up for me.

It's been about a week now and I'm loving the way they make the car handle! I just added the SPC camber bolts to get some negative camber up front so I can tuck the rim and tires a bit more so I can go lower. still waiting on my tires to come in. Don't want to post anymore pics until then because I think it sits a bit to high for my liking.

PM me if you're interested in picking up a set.
