Coil overs

So normally not what I'd go about doing, but my back is getting worse as I get older. Looking for some coil overs that will give a more compliant ride than the current RS-R springs on OEM shocks. Looked at an Acura ILX yesterday and threw that right out the window. Very harsh ride for a "luxury" branded car.

Looking for input on the best options here for something more compliant. Budget is reasonable.

OEM.

Or buy a new stock Civic. They're very comfy.

afaik , no coilover (for honda fits anyways) will be more comfy versus oem

once upon a time, I had STANCE LX+ coilovers, those were made for comfort .... but I dont think they market to honda fits

in the bmw and lexus world, I hear KW is a favorite choice, due to their comfort . perhaps give that brand a consideration?

I personally have not tried KW's, due to the pricing always being out of my reach

I had KW's on my Civic and they are on the rougher side. They had a pretty high spring rate though. They are great coil overs by the way.

My Tein's ride great but they are only 2K spring rate which is soft. So look for something with a soft spring rate or just go OEM.

The Fit is not the softest riding car to begin with though.

I'm sorry, but this has no bearing to anything.

I have HKS coilovers on my S2000. They're great.

That doesn't mean I can comment on HKS coilovers for a Fit...at all.

That said, OP shouldn't be lowering his daily if he wants a comfortable-ish daily in the form of a Honda Fit.

This is true. They are 2 different cars.

Comfort is also so subject to opinion that what I say is comfortable may not be what you think is comfortable.

I can certainly comment on the quality of KW which is top notch. Beautiful craftsmanship and they held up really well to daily driving and salt.
