No response by posting this on the Wheels & Tires section,

so I thought I'd put it out here (link below) to see if anyone has tried this.

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you don't get any responses you could call the service dept at a dealer or go to a wheel distributor online and see if the same part# for a wheel fits both generations. I know this doesn't help you but my gut feeling would be that they are compatible.

I know I can ask those questions, but I'm not comfortable **only** getting answers from the same folks who have a vested interest in selling wheels and tires.

I know GK wheels are a 53 mm offset, and our factory GD are 55. That is not enough difference to concern me.


I was looking specifically for any owners who have tried GD wheels on the GK. (At least, bolting them on.) Sometimes different wheels could have other issues (brake caliper rubbing, for example).
