Quiet tires
I went with Konig Helium Wheels at just 11.4 lbs each and managed to save about 30% of rotational weight (-11 .lbs per) in each corner.
Tire noise used to be the primary noise inside the cabin at speed, but now the wind noise is the loudest because the tire growl has been reduced significantly.
It seems as though the car get rolling easier and high speed cornering is more stable. My city mileage has increased as well. Over all, I could not be more pleased.

Update for me: The Ascends are history, as one developed a bubble on the sidewall, the other side had an irreparable flat, and I wanted to get back to Costco after my local garage stripped one of the lugs (and unbeknownst to me, I drove it that way from New Orleans through Death Valley to San Francisco).
I now have the Michelin Premier A/S 185/55-16 (stock size on stock Sport wheels) on the 2009, and so far these are the best tires I've had on the car. Quietest, best grip on hard corners, best ride. I have yet to get a good reading on wet traction or hydroplaning resistance, and tread life will need a few months before I can see how that will turn out.
AS fujisawa noted above, the Michelins are a lil bit less responsive, so now the Fit feels steers a little more like a car than a go-kart (one of its most endearing characteristics). It's a minor distinction. When asked, the other driver (my wife) said, "What are you talking about? Feels fine to me."
A minor nitpick with Costco is that they replaced the OEM stem caps, which were either metal or high quality hard plastic, with soft rubber caps in bright green. (Just like the words you just read). Yes, everyone now knows I'm riding on nitrogen. Yippee. I was annoyed to find this when I got home, but not enough to go back over and ask for my OEM stem caps back.
Fingers crossed that there will be a 2020 Fit sold in the USA.
