I'm installing an ILX-W650 in my 2017 LX, and am stuck on finding the wire for the reverse input. The adapter I bought has the output connections, but just specifies to plug the reverse wire into a place near the fuse box. Looking at some of the other posts here, it seems like the reverse input on the lower end models is actually on the plug, so I was just wondering if anyone has the full pinout for a US LX for the B plug. The full pinout for the A plug would be useful as well, as I want to hook into the CAN Bus in order to set the clock.

 

I have the pinouts for tthe EX, just not on this computer. The LX I expect would be similar. For the 2018+ HU units it is B15, a brown wire. That is the send for the reverse switch. I need to dig and get back to you for the rest.

 

There actually is no brown wire on my B connector, and I tested with a multimeter in reverse, and none of the wires had 12v on them. So I wonder if the LX uses CAN to give the radio that info. Also it's a 2017, so I don't know how much would have changed for the 18.

The Crutchfield docs actually say to splice into a brown wire at the fuse box. And the connector for the backup cam is exclusively for the LXs, and includes power and signal, but not a reverse wire. So likely it's just not there on the LX. Luckily I routed a 4 foot wire to wire at some point.

 

Are the pinouts found in the service manual I can get 30 days access for on Ebay, or are they manually found at other places? If theyre in the service manual, I'll just buy that for month and grab and post them.

 

I beleive so yes. Apologies i havent been able to check my computer today. It is possible the CAN network is feeding the head unit. Running that wire to the reverse light (which is a brown wire at the light socket too) may be your best bet if all else fails.
