Does anyone know if the hatchlight goes off in a 2007 Honda Fit Sport. We are at drive in and it's already been 20 mins. .. can I just take out the bulb? Key is out of ignition.. so some of these answers was not correct on timing or the key thing lol

 

Remove bulb or put tape over it.

 

Replace it with one from an Acura, which has its own on/off switch.

 

When the hatch is open, the hatch light will not go off on it's own. An easy fix is to replace the housing with Acura P.N. 34265-SFE-003. This part has a built in switch that you can use to turn the unit off. Installation is very easy. Snap out the old housing and unplug the connector. Use your old bulb. To install the new unit, reverse your steps.
