Chinese LED Tail Lights?

Anybody try something like this?

Car Styling Tail Lights Taillight case for Honda Fit taillights 2014-2018 Tail Lights LED Taillghts LED Rear Lamp

I need to replace a read tail light and wanted smoke ones. At less that $400, this would be cheaper than replacing the left unit and paying for tint film. OTOH, if they are crap or fail, then I am out $400.
I don't care so much about the fancy lighting effects, but mostly want smoked color. I'd also like decent reverse lights.

Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Anyuone know of something similar here in the states from a reputable vendor?

OMG YES! I bought those exact lights. They told me they would be plug n play for my 2020 Honda Fit...what a CROCK! I'm still waiting for them to send me some adaptors because I don't want to hardwire anything. Good Luck!

Check out my 1 other post. I have pics of these on my car. I have had them for 6 months or so and no issues. They have been through super heavy rain and the freeze that affected Texas so bad not too long too. No problems.
As fast as decent reverse lights, not so much here but, replacing the Lic Plate lights with the brightest led you can find is a good solution.

a note on installation, look up the YouTube video for it. It’s loads of Fun?

if you need more info just ask.

You can find these on Amazon.

Tail Lights installed.

I watched that video, but to much cutting for me. I think at this point I need to go to a pro to rewire all that.

I’m a half idiot and could do this. You need to buy a set of these

iJDMTOY (2) 7440 T20 Male Adapter...
Amazon Amazon

So you don’t have to fabricate a connector like he did and some of these

Kuject 120PCS Solder Seal Wire...
Amazon Amazon

So you don’t have to solder wires together, a drill bit to make the hole for the wire in the bottom, a heat gun to use with the 2nd item and lots of patience.

the drill bit is to make a hole in the New Tail lights, NOT IN THE CAR. And 1 extra thing. The wire that comes out of the NEW pillar lights goes in the car through the hole where the old pillar reflectors’s guide pin went into, remove the plastic thing that guide pin goes into and run the wires through, along those wires is a rubber grommet that water proofs that hole. Careful with the grommet because it’s easy to pull on the wires too fast and pull the grommet through the hole, it’s a PÍA to get the grommet back in place. Do some research on how to use those heat solder things, a heat gun is better than a hair dryer.

Good luck and let me know how that goes. It’s going to look badass when you do it.

LOL! everything you just said word for word happened to me when I was installing the pillar lights a week or so ago...I cut my nails really short so it took FOREVER! to get those tiny rubber pieces into place. I'm actually excited to use the soldering gun. I will definitely update when its all together. Hopefully this weekend : )

Awesome news man. Now you can join the ranks of Fit owners that wear a DIY badge of honor for installing these tail lights on their own. Good Job man. 👍
