I am looking to do a K24/K20 swap in my Gd1 Fit in August. I have everything bought. But someone told me it's a nightmare to change from automatic to manual. Is this correct?

Also what speedometer clocks do you use, when you do the change?

 

Start with a manual would have been easier. Have you swapped engines before?

 

I have swapped engines with my civics that I own. This would be my first engine swap with a Honda Fit.

Ideally, I wanted to import one from Japan, but one came up for sale in the colour white and with the bodykit I was looking for, so I bought it.

 

Nioce, good luck with the build. I am thinking about doing it in the future. K24 fits in gk5 apparently without any cutting of the frame rails.

 

It has been YEARS and a shop did my swap for me. From what I remember You would need the ECU for a manual fit and Harness,. I got around this by using a stand alone and a racepack. You of course need the clutch pedal and all the little things that go alone with that. The biggest issue I remember was the Trans mount is different between the Auto and Manual. Shop had to make a trans mount for my car.
