1.8L swap

Would it make any sense to swap the Civic's 1.8L instead of the K20? Being a smaller engine, perhaps there wouldn't be any clearance issues, i.e., cutting and bending. The 1.8L has decent power and may very well be a cheaper swap. But more importantly, you'll also get better MPGs than the stock motor!

there are at least two other threads discussing the same topic, just gotta do a little bit of digging to find it.

IIRC the consensus was that, for the money, a k-series was the most practical choice.

nope... itll probably cost MORE than a K20 swap... No one makes mounts, custom axles, swap header, ecu solution etc.
