After seeing the metal Fit model someone here bought, I went to eBay and got one for my son - blue. It looked good, so I got one for myself. Unfortunately, the closest they had to silver was white, so I ordered a white one. When you open the front doors, the lights flash and the horn beeps. The rear door, hatch, and hood also open.

I removed all the bits and pieces and masked what I couldn't remove. Then I sanded it and sprayed it with Rustoleum silver. I gave it three coats, and it turned out nice. I'll post pictures when I get it put together. One thing I like is the antenna. I put a shark fin antenna on my Fit, and this model came with the same type, something that is not standard on Fits.

Minor glitch. I did a perfect job of masking the surfaces I didn't want painted - except for the inside of the moon roof and windshield. I'm hoping I can remove the paint without damaging the "glass."
