2010 Sport Intermittent Grinding Noise From The Rear
I have a 2010 Honda Fit Sport with a little over 99,800 miles that has started making an intermittent metal-on-metal grinding from the rear wheels upon breaking. It drives perfectly normal, no vibration in the brake pedal and no warning lights on the dash.
My mechanic inspected the rear brakes and found nothing wrong with. He even took them apart and cleaned them. He didn't even charge me for the inspection After he did that, the noise stopped happening until today. I trust this mechanic, he's worked on my family's cars for 20 years.
What else could causing the grinding noise besides the brakes? The sound only happens when braking and definitely is coming from the rear of the car.
Thanks!

Could be a bad wheel cylinder causing uneven braking. Is the car pulling slightly to one side when applying the brakes? I would just have the dude change both wheel cylinders and the brakes, plus a brake bleed.
