If I were to buy a japanese GE steering wheel without any steering wheel controls, is it a simple task to just swap the existing controls on my current steering wheel and wiring harness to that wheel, or are internals different and it wouldn't be that straight forward?

 

From what I've seen online, it's all a direct swap over, I have zero actual experience though. The cc and radio control pods replace the mesh pods and wiring is run though factory locations and plugs in.
