What is this part on the Manual transmission??
What is this part on the Manual transmission??
The back pressure fluid line has a crack in it but thats not whats leaking. It needs some type of seal unless its all assembled to the part but I dont know what its called.. when i search i get the seal where the cv axle goes in or shift parts inside the car..
also included as a diagram with that thing circled, but the diagram doesn’t even say what it is
"Shift arm" is Honda's term.
There's a component breakdown on Honda parts listings.
The hose is just a breather. It lets air in and out of the transmission case as the transmission changes temperature, the weather changes, etc.
Your oil leak is probably from the oil seal, no.18 in the linked diagram. Though if the other seals (drive shafts, input shaft) are also leaking, check if the breather tube is plugged.
