Who makes good wheel hubs?
Who makes good wheel hubs?
Hi all,
I had a caliper lock up on my 2008 for base. It was dragging for a bit before I noticed but when I was able to pull over and look my hub cap was starting to melt. (No glow though).
I replaced the rotor, caliper, rubber brake line, and 32oz of brake fluid. But it still vibrates the same as a warped rotor. It sounds like I need a wheel bearing and or hub.
I try to find who made the part for Honda and buy those but coming up blank on the hub manufacturer.
The bearing sounds like NSK or NTN?
Who made the wheel hubs?
Not adverse to just grabbing a junk yard knuckle but afraid the bearing will be in bad shape from being left in the elements.

Trying to find this out as well. Bernardi has replacement rear hub/bearing combo for over $500 (!). Rock Auto shows a number of brands. SKF is a good bearing manufacturer.
I know most of this is random information, but I hope some of it helps.
