front license plate

Hey everyone, I just got my new Fit a week ago. I was looking into relocating my front license plate. I did some searches on the forum and found that there were a quite a few people who had their holder installed with a screw in the middle. So basically it was mounted from the underside of the bumper and they also put a screw straight into the bumper. Was just wondering if anyone else had their front license plate holder installed this way cause if you were to remove it you'd be left with a hole dead centre in your bumper.

TIA

I told my dealer not to install that front plate (and no holes in the bumper) as a condition of buying my Fit. No front plates required here.

Lucky you, Mr. "Sweet Home Alabama"... Love the Song and the Skynyrds... you just cut in half, if not 70%, chances to be clocked by LASER gun (lidar as its correct terminology), LEOs (that's cops, or smokies in my world ) are very much in love with laser guns way more accurate than the traditional radar gun, but laser works by finding a reflective surface on your car that will sent back to the laser gun your speed, first choice is ALWAYS the front licence plate, where not available they go for front lights (but here you can use VEIL, it's a chemical coating designed for lights only that reduces to almost 80% the effectiveness of a laser gun so you have lots of time to slow down before they get a speed reading on you), if no front lights (some old sport cars had rolled up/down lights, Pontiac Fiero is just one example) they go for the windshield where... your radar detector should always be... if you know what I mean
Drive safely
