Hello!

This is my first post but I plan to be a regular around here. I am the proud owner of a Vivid Blue Pearl Sport AT. I got it for MSRP and got floor mats and rear cargo cover and full tank as part of the deal, I bought the hard mat for the rear and am considering wheel locks.

Anyways, its being built today!! in Japan of course. I am really needing it by June 16/17 since I am moving out of state. The sales people are hoping the 14th but maybe as soon as the 10th. Does the sound accurate?

I ordered my Fit on May 5th and it is estimated to arrive June 15th. The car my husband and I put our names on was already planned to be made, but we have dibs. If your car is being built now, that date doesn't seem too unreasonable (based on my experience!)

Ordered/deposit a Silver Sport manual transmission on May 13, 2006 - delivered Nov. 8, 2006 --- 179 days from order till delivery. ( But - I didn't care from July 8 till Sept. 5 because I broke my leg and couldn't drive.)

 

Maybe - since you're on the left coast, the car won't have to travel far once it gets here. I think the big variable here is AFAIK the dealer has no way of knowing when the car will actually be shipped from Japan.

When I was was waiting for mine, they confirmed that the car had been built, but had not been put on a boat yet. They said it would take ~X days to get here once on the boat, but they didn't know when the shipment would leave from Japan, so they couldn't promise - cars sometimes sit around for a while before they are put on a boat. If a shipment went out yesterday, it will probably sit around for a while before enough are built to send out another shipment.

I kept calling the dealership asking for updates. Once they could see that it had left Japan (and they had the departure date), they were spot on with the arrival at the dealership.

 

Build date March 30, 2007 delivery date May 15, 2007 in Upstate, NY. (Vivid Blue Pearl 5AT)

 

ordered my NHBP fit sport 4/30/2007 and got it 5/10/2007....but they were planning on getting this one already.......i just put my name on it so when it got here i just picked it up. they said if they would have ordered it from japan like most it would have taken 10weeks.

 

I just lucked into my Fit. My wife and I were going around to dealers to see if we could find a m/t Fit (preferably silver). I was in a hustle to get out the door for some reason... I'm glad we did hustle.

Right as we got to the first dealership, the dealership was getting a brand new m/t Fit (Black), off the truck. As we were grabbing the keys to take a test drive, another group was wanting to buy it, and the other salespeople were calling customers to inform them a Fit was on the lot.
Too late for them - we traded in our gas-guzzling SUV, and our world is a better place now!!!

 

I drove a white FIT on a Friday, April 20 (Loved it), wanted an Orange FIT, but was told it may be awhile....that Saturday, April 21, my salesman (who is a friend of mine), pulled up to my house in a BOM! Signed papers that Saturday afternoon! Have been happy every since! I have seen all the color Fits in this area (Dothan, AL), White, Black, Silver, Vivid Blue, Light Blue, Red, & even another like mine, the BOM!

 

Ordered mine Dec 27th, got it April 25th....roughly 4 months! Long wait for my Blue Manual Sport Fit, but I'm glad I waited

has anyone been given a in transit date from the dealer and still hasn't recieved the car yet? Dealer told me that my car is in transit and schedule to arrive at the dealership on may 23-27, 2007. Let me knwo thanks

 

Mine is supposed to arrive this week, though I'm picking it up next Monday... I'll let you know if I hear of any delays.

 

dealer just called and told me that my car came in today. They were saying because of memorial day it delayed delivery time. I'm kinda sad because I will be trading in my g35 coupe for the fit. hope its a good choice. thanks

the wait is KILLING me

 

Be patient.... It took eight weeks from the day I put down my deposit to the day I picked up my Vivid Blue Pearl 5AT Fit Sport.

 

bought mine on monday, it came in on Tuesday....

 

my first order was june30th or so and it came in on dec 10th, unfortunately it was the wrong one. So they reordered it around dec 20th and I picked it up on april 7th. I live in nj, so it takes about a week longer to get to me than to you because of the whole 3000 miles from here to seattle thing. . .

 

Was supposed to pick it up today. So much for their estimate. "Seems that they have overbooked the drivers, we just found out why we didn't have any of our cars from that shipment come in. Looks like it won't be in till the 15th."

Irritation.

Edit: Looks like there's two other NHBP Fit Sports with AT only a few miles away, and the dealer I'm going through didn't even try to see what was out there (granted I didn't bitch them out TOO much and demand it). Guess I'll wander down to that dealership and see what kind of a deal I can get through them.

 

We went looking 2 saturdays ago (may 27) for a Fit. Some dealers claimed it would be at least a 3 month waiting list for one. We found a dealer who had some in transit that were not on hold yet. Lucky for us, one of the ones that was available was a black sport automatic - just what we wanted. It was scheduled to arrive between May 30 - Jun 1.

We put our deposit down and it arrived one week later (this past Sat. Jun 2). I went to the dealers lot and looked for it myself. I found one that I thought was mine. It still had the plastic all over it and was very dirty. I found a salesman and asked if it was mine and if I could pick it up that day. Everything worked out perfectly.

So we waited one week from deposit to driving it off the lot.
