HELP! I messed up my bumper

Alright so my fit is only a week old, but last night I was driving and hit a dip in the road very slowly but it caught my bumper. I'm really pissed off at myself for it but I was wondering what could be done to at least touch it up so it doesn't look too bad.

If I need to I'll buy another lip but I'm not sure where I could find one. Thanks for your help.

I thought about touch up paint but there is some nice gouges in the bumper. It might just come down to me making it look decent and not perfect though. It isn't lowered at all, but it was a serious dip in the road. Looking at it again I see there really wasn't any way to avoid this happening except to go another route.

You could take it to a body shop. I highly suggest finding a good body shop and getting to know the guys there. They will be an asset in the future for incidents like this. You definitely DON'T want to buy this lip brand new, it is insanely expensive. It should only cost maybe $150-$200 to fix...they just gotta sand it down, then paint it. I'm sure if you took it off, they will lower the price a bit more since they won't need your car to do it.

I'm actually removing my sport lip kit right now in preparation for some new stuff, so there is a slight chance I might be willing to let go of my front lip. Another guy has dibs as he wants the whole kit, but if that falls through, I'll let you know

LOL already guessing eh? I dunno man, might be, might not be...wonder if anyone will be surprised by my choice...still waiting on one more box then its off to PAINT!

Back in my Protege 5 days going up to a meet in Canmore, I think I was the 3rd car in a line of about 10...not enough radios to go around unfortunately. Front two guys merged into the other lane...I look ahead...FREAKING BLOWN TRUCK TIRE!!!! right in front of me...for once, I am thankful I lowered my car and put on peformance tires, because I did the quickest evasive maneuver I've ever had to pull off going about 110-120km/h onto the shoulder...cars were lined up next to me in the adjacent lane so I couldn't switch...my buddy behind me wasn't so lucky, tried to dodge it but ended up running into it on the drivers side, took off a good chunk from his bumper...when he rolled over it, he shot it up at the guy right behind him and smacked his windshield...luckily it didn't break...

if you use touchup paint you really wont be able to notice it since its pretty low on the lip. I did it with my S2K and you couldnt tell it was touched up unless you were like a few inches away

I think you need part #
71110-SLN-A90ZA SPOILER ASSY., FR. BUMPER
( VIVID BLUE PEARL )

which can be found as item #12 at

Genuine Honda Replacements Parts

Since it's already painted, a new spoiler might be pretty close to the cost of repairing it??? Maybe it depends on the freight cost. You should be able to easily install it yourself.

You might even find it cheaper at other places mentioned on the thread

Yeah I guess I could use the paint, I just wanted it to be perfect again. I guess the touchup will not show the gouges as well even though some are deep. How much does Honda touchup paint/pen run?

Illusive, if it it falls through PM me on the lip.

You can use the Honda paint for the bumper? Isn't the paint meant for metal surface?
