Ride Quality Meet Photoshoot/Notes
I feel like setting up the notes or personal opinion about different springs brand and good place to dump photos from the meet unless you guys want to dump them in the "Picture forums."
So since I'm starting this up I'll start.
Since we only did one trip to the "test area," I only sat in Ivan's (aka Ciburri) car. I do feel that the Eibach Pro is a bit stiffer then OEM, not too stiff for people who "daily" their cars. Personally I do want more of a stiffer ride, but that just me. The Ride Height, in my personal opinion wasn't that bad, granted that we test Ivan's Car in relatively nice roads, however the to those with this drop (sorry I do not have the height off the top of my head) do need to angle over the classic speed bumps, but people with lower cars going to do that anyways so it shouldn't be too much of a problem
. Now for the thing that everyone is waiting, the handling. The springs performs GREAT both uphill and downhill of the "test area." There is more of a turn-in or more oversteer than the OEM setup when the car is taking the corners. Overall the Eibach Pro is a great spring for both the "daily" driver and the spirited driver.
The other handling set up that I sat in was the extreme, the Ground Effects Coil-overs with the Progress Rear Sway Bar belonging to "Bap." (Sorry I can't remember your name) On a side note, I was in the car when we were "playing" in the park's streets. To me, there is more body roll when compare to Eibachs, but STILL less then the OEM. It does have more of a turn in v.s the Eibachs, but that could be just the rear sway bar. I do think the ride is too soft, granted that we did not when to the freeways or the test area when I was in the car. However, the coil-over have the nice ability to adjusts the hight.
The note that I should mention is that I did not drove these car, for the simple thing that I do not feel right and I am a scar of driving anyone's car to the test area.

As usual, the meet was a lot of fun and too much good food. It is a shame that the technical information that we intended to post as a guide for the general FF.net membership never really got done. Again as usual, the social nature of "a party" got in the way of any real work.
I still think that we could compile useful information on springs and handling upgrades, but it will probably take summer weather and track conditions for enough drivers to swap rides quickly and then write down their impressions and record measurements. Jimmy's G-force meter would help in the technical data but only if it can be transferred from car to car in track conditions.
This was a good event but I wish that we had been able to accomplish a little more than the weather, road conditions, and party nature allowed us to do.

We NEED to do a track or Auto X meet when the weather gets better. That would be so much fun. Auto X would be cheaper and easier to orginize. track would be more fun IMO but would cost alot more. I think it would be worth it, i dont know about you guys. But maybe a AutoX event for our next meet.
I do know that De Anza College do offer a autocross event sometime at May. I'll try and get more info about it as soon I get the guy's number. However, last year it was on May 20, so I guess the event is going to be sometime around there.
I agree with everybody-- my use of the word "track" meant flat, dry concrete and/or uneven freeway pavement, without other cars or people to hit if somebody screws up. So an Auto X course would work fine.
