Have to share this - another Honda Fit moment at Krispy Kream this morning. Went up to grab a dozen donuts through the drive through for Nurses Day. This teenage boy working the window kept looking at the Fit. Finally when I got up to the window he said, " Can I ask you a question?" I said sure. He said," Is this your car?" I just laughed and said, " I bet you think it belongs to my son? He said, "Well .... I laughed again and said, "No I am probably the only 50 year old lady you'll ever meet driving around in a Mugen themed Honda Fit." He laughed and he said," Well, I think that is totally awesome and I really thought you were in your 40's." He said he heard the Fit was made in Japan and shipped over. I told him a little about that and he said he really liked the way the car looked. He said he was saving for a Honda but wasn't sure what model he was going to get. I told him about WV Streets upcoming meet and Challange the Cops run and he said he might try to come and check it out. Cute kid!

When I was at the dealership the other day I took a 50+ year old lady for a test drive. She told me I should be selling cars and she should give me commision because I sold her on the Fit!

My mom rolls my Fit around sometimes and says poeple always come up to her and ask her questions. When i drive my car, i dont get that many questions..Hmmm, strange lol.

Wow! That is awesome. When I took mine in for the wire harness recall there was a lady in the waiting area and she was asking me about the Fit. I took her over to the base model they had on display and showed her the magic seats, she was sitting in it and I was telling her the difference between the base and the Sport. She said her daughter was in the market for a new Honda and she was going to have her come up and do a test drive.

It's so cool/ironic that fans know more about the cars then people who are paid to sell them.

 

haha when i went to buy my car, the salesman straight up said "you know more about this car than i do. you should be a fit salesman."

When I finally found a dealership with a MR fit I knew more about it than the guy trying to sell it to me.
Then I talked my girlfriend’s sister into getting one after I let her take mine for a ride and told her all about it and its benefits. I told the dealership she got it from I wanted a commission.

Well over a dozen years ago, when I purchased my CRX, General Sales Manager was a friend of a friend in a Honda dealership. He and everybody else told me I can give run for the money to most of their service techs about CRX. He called me 3 days latter and I started selling Honda's. I was 21 at the time! Few days latter I met his brother, Aresenio, too.
Forward it to present time and Arsenio is my best friend since back then and a Best man for six years now. I still buy near new, used cars from Arsenio's brother, drive them for a few years and sell them for more than what I paid for them!

What can I tell you, "life is like a box of chocolates!"

Very nice! I can't say as I have sold anyone on the Fit. I do probably come across as a shill for Boltouse Farms drinks though. I have hooked quite a few people on them, even touting there merits at the grocery store. Nice work though Cat, challenging the status quo can make life fun and interesting
