80% Women Drivers? WTFit??!!

Either the folks at Forbes need to be smacked upside their heads, or I am missing something big time. They said 80% of Fit drivers are women. Soooo then how come most of the time I see a Fit, it's a guy behind the wheel? Yes I do see some women in a Fit now and then, but not 80%!

I don't understand why so many people on this board get so hung up on that women like our cars. Its an added bonus. Besides of all the Fits sold in America theres probably 2% of owners on this forum.

Not hung up on it, just wondering where the 80% came from. I personaly dont care if its 90%. Just questioning their data's accuracy, or if its another example of someone writing an article without actually doing any research as some car reviews are prone to do. (aka they review a car they have never driven or seen in person) Whenever I see a Fit on the road, the ratio seems to be more around 60m/40w at best.

I wouldn't say it was a "chick magnet" by any means, but it doesn't hurt that it's popular with the ladies. I'd say on a personal level I see it as about a 50-50 split when I am driving in Houston.

But I guess with figures like this a pink option for the '09 can't be far behind.

Thats weird the tC isnt on there. Every time I see one there is a women driver, except one time I saw a man and his was purple, so it was kinda like a women.

I had a fat girl in my car last weekend, and she was most impressed with my "butt rumbler" referring of course to the Skunk2 exhaust. But I'll take it.

I’ve had more looks from ladies in my Fit then my Lexus. I think a lot of ladies like to see a mature guy driving a car like a Fit, it means they care about things such as the environment which is a hot topic now-a-days.

I found this hard to believe as well. I've seen many 100's of Fits since they came out and from my observance it's more like 60%M/40%W.

Look at the rest of the list and it looks extremely innacurate. So a pickup truck has a higher ratio of women owners than the VW NEW BEETLE that isn't even on the list!!! Actually, there isn't any VW on the list, lol and they are known as chick cars especially the Cabrio and Beetle!

Perhaps since gas has gone up the husbands are leaving their truck/SUV etc. in the driveway and taking their wife's Fit.

My wife really wanted the fit, but drive it a lot.
If I were in the market for a good quality low$$ economy car myself like I was 10 years ago I'd have loved to have had the fit as an option! ...and besides, I wasn't going to let her drive my car!

Yup. They came with the car. Guy I bought it from added them and it confuses people b/c all the other Z06 stuff is not there ( scoops buldging fenders & such). A lot of Vette owners swap out for these. I do like them better than the stock '08 wheels. Would have preferred the comp gray though.
