Honda Fit hybrid

I don't know if this is the right forum but here is a article that confirms the Fit will have a hybrid.

2015!?!?!?! Why so long Honda? I absolutely love my Fit...but had wished it came as a Hybrid. I wish companies would start adding Hybrids in their sub-compact cars instead of mid-size and those dinosaur SUVs!

There isn't as much demand for improved fuel economy in subcompacts, plus hybrid technology is EXPENSIVE and the batteries take up a lot of space. Those things make it incompatible with $14-15k subcompact cars.

I'd much rather have a nice clean sturdy turbodiesel Fit.

I love my Fit, but a turbodiesel with some healthy, useable low-end torque and about 65 mpg would be a lot more useful.

I don't need 0-60 in 9 seconds. 12 or 13 seconds would be just fine. It's 0-30 that REALLY matters in the real world anyway and that is where diesels excel. The real world.

I agree a diesel would be great in our Fits! Im not really too concerned about acceleration in our cars...if the 1.2 liter was available in North America...I probably wouldve went for that. :)
