Heh, a lot of folks said it like that here as well until they heard how it was supposed to be pronounced. Same with Scion ("Sky-on"). :)

"And watch the children run into the road, because they haven't heard me coming."
"This, I think, is a particularly good way of distracting you, from the child who's run into the road, having not heard you coming."
"Actually, I'm being unfair. The Prius is so slow, the child could run into the road, retrieve his ball, and grow to puberty, before you ever actually hit him."
He has a point about the diesels, but unfortunately we Americans think the idea of a turbocharged I3 diesel ludicrous.

i haven't watched this video yet, but my co-worker claimed she was getting under 40 mpg in her prius in the city. i told her to check her tire inflation. she did that and she's now getting barely over 40 mpg.
Jeremy's not a hater, he's brutally honest. The Prius is nothing more than show-business. It's a pretty trick piece of technology, but it truly does nothing to benefit the world. Diesels get great mileage, and they have a ton of torque. Even the little ones. And they can be engineered to be as clean as gas.
And the quality isn't that great. I've read about Priuses that crab-walk because Toyota is trying too hard to keep up with demand.
