Has anyone installed an aftermarket fuel pump?

I am looking into FI but I am still hesitant about the stock fuel pump. I would like to run 8psi on a turbo with factory internals but I am thinking the 6psi on the t1r and hks kits are rated to the limit of the stock fuel pump. I am interested in knowing if a walbro would be a plug and play option or if there is anyone with any information about the stock fuel pump and aftermarket replacements.

They are probably limited to the strength limit of the stock internals. Changing injectors and tuning the ECU will allow you to get more fuel into the engine. You'll need a new header and pistons to get a higher output turbo.. (at least thats what i know from tuning saabs )

The T1R kit is limited due to the OEM fuel pump as they run 310cc injectors. As per what Ben has said theyve tried higher boost but the car was detonating. All thats left to change is the fuel pump.

The HKS kit is limited due to the injectors being OEM AND the fuel pump.
Id get the T1R kit. Its more set-up for higher boost IMO. External gate, injectors, and I think the intercooler pipes are bigger?

The fuel pump is an easy change Id imagine. Its right under the center console.
Not so sure if Walbro or anyone makes an upgraded fuel pump for the Fit yet?
Youll have to call around.

Once you get the pump out and look at it or find a good diagram, you'll be able to figure out a replacement pump. There's not that many different styles. There's a good chance that a different Honda pump will work...maybe out of a Civic Si or TSX. Also, as Ray mentioned, Walbro makes just about every style pump there is and the part code usually tells you how many liters per hour it pumps.

Thanks for the input, I will post any information I come up with or if I get bored and rip out the fuel pump.
