Is the Fit electronically limited?

I was driving my '09 Fit Sport MT quite...uh...exuberantly...up in Vermont, and I was on a long straightaway with no other cars and perfect visibility in the middle of nowhere (in other words, don't try this at home) and decided to see how far I could push it. When I hit 105 (), I couldn't get it to go any faster. It felt less like I was hitting the limits of the car and more like I was hitting some kind of soft electronic limit. I tried it again and got the same feeling at 105, and never went a centimeter over. If anyone cares, I was at about 5000/5500 RPM ish at this point. Is the Fit limited? What's the top speed that you have hit (stock)?

Try going downhill. If it still blocks at 105 then we'll know.

The GDs which should be a tad slower, (wider tires, more aero drag, way less top end power) hit 118 for Car and Driver. I would conservatively estimate 120 for the GEs, though none of the mags have done a top speed test on the 09s, so being electronically limited is still in question.

I'd do 120 in my S2000, but in the GE, no way sir. Be smart, Drive safe.

my JDM GE8's speed cut limited @ 170kph, or 105mph..
rev cut @ 6800rpm, neutral gear rev cut @ 4500rpm.

a RSM should be able to overwrite the default settings.
