Road trip. Too snowy and chilly out here to sit around so we went to Springfield to, well, just to have something to do. The President was back in DC so it was pretty quiet downtown. It's about 100 miles each way. It's an easy drive in the Fit navi. There were about five places to stop, so I entered them in "today's destinations" and could pick the one I wanted after each stop.

This is the old state capitol building. Across the sidewalk there are a bunch of nice little restaurants and a terrific used book store called Prairie Archives.



After we shopped and ate lunch, we joined the Fit Club before heading home:



I won't apologize for the dirty car. This is a terrific cross-country car and I get it dirty every chance I get. We're at about 1100 miles. So far, the calculated mpg is 36.

Don't sit around. Take your Fits and go somewhere. Happy Valentine's Day.
