Studdering in 1st gear.

Studdering in 1st gear.
I have an 07 sport AT and it just threw a check engine light and it will not rev up past 4000 rpm (like it hits a revlimiter) in N and 1st but it revs up fine in the other gears. Think this is related to the coils? Any help would be appriciated.
