Step 1: Fold down all seats in your Fit and stuff said swing in. Yes, it will Fit. With an inch to spare. With the tailgate closed. In an 82-inch long box.
Step 2: Drive to Honda dealer
Step 3: Tell dealer "I want to show you something" and take dealer outside to your Fit.
Step 4: Watch dealer take pictures.

1. Fit wraparound Trans Am fiberglass spoiler in the car...
2. Fit daughter's 3-foot tall Fur-Real pony in the backseat...assembled...without touching the roof.
3. Fit two children in with canopy swing in previous exercise
4. Fit THREE ADULT GREYHOUNDS, 80 lbs. EACH, into car and have all three arrive intact at destination
5. Pack three adults and two children into your Fit...it CAN be done....legally. Four adults if you stuff the husband in the hatch.

I need a lot of cargo room but I heard that the Fit was actually pretty decently sized. I was pretty disappointed when I saw it for the first time... until the dealer opened the back and folding down the 'magic' seats. I started drooling and Had to have one.

 

Yup, everything just "Fits", pun intended indeed.
