Question A pillar plastic trim coming loose

Hey, had my 2008 Fit since September, just been lurking the forums for now.

The passenger side A pillar plastic trim has come loose at the top; if you look down in there you can see the side curtain airbag guts and such. You can also see the plastic button-style fastener that hooks the trim piece to the metal of the car frame right there. Despite pressing on it, it doesn't 'pop' back in. At best I can seat it flush, but road vibes make it walk back out again in little time. More worrisome, when my roommate was fooling with it while I was driving, he caused the 'side impact' amber warning to come on in the dash, though only for a few moments. I think pulling on the trim may do something to cause the bag to deactivate, maybe for safety reasons (I hope it's that, and that a connector isn't loose.)

I'd really like to just fix it myself rather than bothering a dealer with it. Anyone else had this happen to them? I wonder if the button fastener isn't working for some reason (from what I can see, it does not appear broken.)

Thanks!
