there has to be a better name than "fit."

i think the fit would get more attention with a better name.
people don't even know what it is... and the name doesnt help any.
honda should have been a bit ballsy.
i say call it the honda bulldog. ...with a cool bulldog face insignia.
bulldogs are funky and could use a little more power, but are lovable nevertheless... just like the fit.

"Fit" sounds perfectly fine, it fits in with all the other random, meaningless quality of Honda car names (civic, accord, odyssey, del sol, prelude, ETC). If it had a word with some sort of concrete quality to it like "bulldog", it loses the charm. Maybe if they sold the Chevy Cruze as the "Bulldog" it'd work much better - it fits with the american company's image and naming style (while Cruze doesn't fit in at all). Imagine the current Mazda3's being sold as the Mazda Smile - I can see that happening in Japan but here in the USA sales would probably drop dramatically due to the name, not to mention the atrocious styling.
There's just one problem with the "Jazz" name: it's also the name of another Honda from the mid-1980s.
But yeah, personally I like the Jazz name more.
