Wheels and tire question for GE8

I was wondering if anyone has these rims on there GE8? Or what does everyone think this would look like on a GE8. First of all these are 17x7 40 offset front, 17x8 35 offset back, I will be putting 215-45-17 tire on the front and 225-45-17 tire on the back. I would like to get some feed back before I buy because if it is not going to fit or it is not going to look right I am not going to buy. Does anyone know what would be the correct offset for front and back to keep the rims from sticking out too much. I am currently running 16x7 42 offset all the way around and the fronts are pretty much perfect for offset but the back I needed to add a spacer to get it flush. So I am thinking that the 40 offset for the front would be good but not too sure about the back with 35 offset but it is a 8 inch rim
Please let me know what you think and please give me any info to help me decide to get them or not!
Thanks!

i think it will look sweet but you will rub like crazy on the front if lowered. i would stick with a +45 offset at min. i run 17x7.5 rota boost with 205 40 17 perfect fit no rubbing at all.

Finally! Thanks for the reply! This is what I need someone that is running a similar size. Also I am running negative camber on the front and the back, do you still think that it would rub?
Thanks again for the advice!

yes i think it will unless you run a tire stretch. are you lowered the shop usually will test fit for you. my car has no finger gap im running coilovers and there is still no rubbing. have you checked the rota wheels site they are a great wheel for the price.

Yes I am lowered on coilovers also, currently I am running 16x7 et42 and I have about a finger and a half space. Thats why I think they would fit.
