How badly has your Fit been mistaken for another car or vice versa.

So, I was driving home about an hour ago. My mom was looking at this vehicle a bit in front of me in the lane to my right...

She goes (in Chinese): "That looks like your car."

It was a dark silver Nissan Murano.

Okay, it's not too bad... but as you can see, I thought it was funny.

In her defense, her eyesight has never been that great.

One of my friends thought I drove a prius. We gave him hell. Another once called it a toy-car, but has since retracted his statements.

I have definitely gotten the "Is that like some kind of hybrid or something?"

And the ever popular "I thought you were getting a cube-dude thing...." (one of my co-workers thought I was getting an Element or something....

paint the calipers and rotor hubs black, black out the badges and install a shark fin antenna on top and even other FIT drivers don't seem to recognize it, i keep getting asked what body kit I installed or if my car is a 2011.

My wife got in "my" car last week and said, "Oh you put no-smoking stickers on the dash."

It was a Kia Rondo rental (while my Fit was in the shop).

The first time I saw one on the streets, I did a double take because I thought Mercedes-Benz had brought over the A-Class

A friend called mine a Fiat.

I think he just didn't get the Fit name when he first heard it.

You do have the A class there or not? We have them up here. Pricey toys.

And she is the smart one in her family

I don't think we have them... I haven't seen them here anyway, and if there's a place for pricey toys, it's the Monterey Peninsula.

Every now and then I spot a car that was never sold here... it almost always has Canada plates. For instance, the Nissan X-Trail and the Toyota Echo Hatchback.

I have parked beside the A Class. Some of the styling is nicer and some not. Fit and finish seem better. Likely expensive to maintain as well.

The majority of the masses have no automobile enthusiasm whatsoever. You might as well be talking about toasters or stoves. They're mere appliances. That said, what's an EP3?
