Fit Acceleration Tips?
Are you aware that you have a habit of stating the obvious in a manner that would make one that hadn't read the post that you are responding to believe that someone stated something they didn't... It is easy to see why you are so distrustful of what marketers and I would suppose everyone else....

I know that people occastionally replace throttle tubes on motorcycles to have smaller wrist motions when rolling on the power- what is the difference with a car? Is the difference in the time it takes to push the pedal meaningful? I understand that there is a subjective difference, but is there any objective gain in performance that couldn't be achieved by simply pushing the pedal further?
and it goes on and on an on.......
I just installed my TC this afternoon by the way on my AT. It added 17 HP. At least my hemorrhoids felt like it it did. Goes like a Fit now(thrashing about)!

The $300 circuit people are buying just makes the throttle move more in relation to pedal movement. Push the pedal a little and the throttle opens a lot. Normally without the circuit; push a little, throttle opens a little. Which is better? I think saving $300 is better. Want to open the throttle completely? floor it.
This kind of customization would have been done by altering the mechanical linkage to the throttle before DBW. Was this a frequent mod before DBW? I'm guessing not as problems would be hard to engineer out; it's easier to mod a electrical signal by amplifying or attenuating it a bit. $300 is high for what it does.

It's not worth even a penny if it just make the ecu think you give more throttle...
Anyway, I don't dislike DBW for fast driving, max acceleration is the limit of the engine and flooring it with dbw or cable will be the same, but under normal/spirited condition, it feels slow, un responsive, too smooth, not fun..
The biggest bullshit is that someone that is talking about something they obviously only 1/2 way understands and claiming that it cost twice what it actually does.... Oh yeah trolls are also in the same category or even the same. Have a nice day children.
Both Steve and broody should drive a Fit with a TC before stating anything else about them. Not sure where you are getting the $300 price from either, I bought a newer Pivot model on the Japanese economy and even with the shit $ it was still less than 2/3 that price.
I will also state that the owner up at GarageFK in Saitama took my car out for a quick drive and when he came back he asked me if I did something to the internals of the engine because he never drove a Fit with so much response and quickness not counting the GE8 they fitted with a K20. He saw the PRM intake, but said no way just that made the car feel the way it did and I just laughed and pointed out the throttle controller inside the cabin.

I agree completely!
