Manual 3rd gear delay

Hello everyone =)

I did a search for this topic before posting and I could not find an existing thread...so I apologize if one already exists.

Anyway, I noticed when I'm on the freeway and I have to take an on/off ramp that requires me to slow, down shift, and then accelerate, sometimes when I push the pedal right after shifting into 3rd gear it will delay. It feels much like an automatic car when you push the gas and then you feel it switch gears a second later and start accelerating. My foot is all the way off the clutch so I don't think it is a result from the gear not being fully engaged. Any insight you guys have is appreciated.

- Ken

I don't have an answer, but for what it's worth I DID have a similar instance. Foot to the floor after letting the car come up to speed (rpm's) accelerating hard in 4th, then a nice smooth shift to 5. foot to the floor and NOTHING...like NO power ZED for a moment before wire throttle decided it best be going. Yeah, might be a quirk of a USDM GD3 Fit. I'm okay with it.

Oops misread the question entirely.

Never had that happen before. What RPM are landing at in 3rd gear?

Its probably your lack of being used to the drive by wire setup the Fit uses, do to this setup the car tends to lag a little

hmm

I was wondering if that my be the issue also...I am coming from an Impreza with a really torquey third gear...so I thought I might have been a little spoiled and just tripping off of a perfectly normal shift for the Fit. I'm going to take Scuff in anyway for a checkup since I'm getting my Tein Basics installed this weekend. After that they will start blaming issues on my mods
