motor oil??

Planning to do motor oil change myself
anyone know what kind of motor oil for our FIT?
10w30?

I read somewhere that if you take old 10W30 and pour it through a Brita pitcher filter three times you get 5W30 that's almost as good as new.

(don't try this at home)

It should say in your owners manual, GD3 is 5w20

I can't find it, I got a GE8
I meant I misplaced my owner manual

I thought you were trying to stir up trouble, it's 5W20 according to the manual but for the same engine in 2011 Fits they're saying 0W20.

Isn't that marked on the engine oil filler cap also!?!?!?!?!?

I persoanlly use 0w30 or 5w30 in my GD3...depends on weather.

I get oil and filter from Honda
they are not expensive
