New member - 2007 Fit Sport

Hey hey folks, last week I picked up a 2007 Fit Sport with 57,000km (35,000 miles) on it, and discovered this forum while doing some google searches. The car is bone stock and in pretty awesome condition. I plan on doing some mild mods - I've already ordered Tein S-tech springs, Tanabe exhaust, and the Seibon grille insert. Next on the list is the Kraftwerks base kit, some 16" wheels & tires, and a few sound upgrades.

For the past 9 years I've had a 1990 miata. I sold it two weeks ago, and prior to selling it I hit 263.7WHP on it. Basically modified everything in the car, 97 1.8 motor, GT28 turbo, aem EMS ecu, obx diff, etc etc etc. I did all the work and tuning myself, and I enjoyed it but was really wanting something more useful as a car. I have a 5 year old daughter, and the gas mileage was so bad. Here's a pic of the car:

So why a Fit? Well, I also have a 96 4 door Integra that I put a B20B motor into, and so I'm familiar with Honda stuff. I also just really like how the fit looks and works. The cargo capacity is insane, and it's such an easy car to drive. The gas mileage blows my miata out of the water as well.

There you have it. Not much else to say I suppose. I've already used a good tip from this website. I went and did the gas pedal spring fix, and was very happy with the results. Looking forward to contributing to the site.

And now to the pics!

I should also mention what triggered me to sell my miata. I also had a 2005 Yamaha V-Star 650 bike. I was cruising through the city and a taxi suddenly turned left in front of me without looking. I slammed into the side of it. Bike was a total write off, and I was very lucky to get out of it with only a bunch of soft tissue damage. The whole accident really made me think about things, and since I had a cheque for the bike, figured i'd combine the miata sale with it to pick up something new. Here's a few pics of the bike and carnage:

Welcome to the forum and the Fit Family. Can't wait to see what you have planned for the Fit. It is a fun car to drive and just begs to be modified. It looks like you got a great car - and now your ready to let the fun begin!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm already enjoying the car immensely. It's just nice to have something newer.

Welcome fellow MT.net sexual deviant, nice looking Fit! Yeah the KraftWerks Rotrex is great, as reliable as it gets for FI. But it sucks that this is one of the few Hondas without many EM options. The KWSC comes with a Hondata reflash but no user tunable FlashPro, S300 etc is available.
Maybe could make Fit Megasquirts? lol.

Oh man, another MT.net member! I'm going to take a beating for sure
I've noticed the lack of ecu's for this car, and was thinking the AEM f/ic would probably work great. I used to have one on my miata and using an ECU wire extension, can install one pretty easily. Just takes a night of soldering.

Yeah the AEM f/ic is probably the favorite EM for the Fit. But if you liked AEM EMS, it seems all you'd need to run it is an 06-08 S2000 EMS & harness.

Please help me find TPS wire for 07 honda fit (PIC inside)

The Fit's accurate steering & shifter remind me of a Miata a little. It's also fun stock in da twistiez.

Glad to see you made it out of your bike accident without much damage. The Fit is an awesome vehicle full of safety =P.

Welcome aboard! 5 years of ownership and still loving it.

And that Miata looks GREAT! I'm sure its new owner appreciates all the hard work you put into it.

So things are progressing nicely with the fit. I'm still loving it, and figured I'd update the thread with a few progress pics:
