What if you had $5,000?
Hello everybody. I'm new to the Fit Community and this is my first post. I don't know much about the Fit, but my wife drives a 2011 Honda Fit Sport w/Navi and I drove it for the first time yesterday and it is SLOW, especially the acceleration. So my question is, if you had $5,000, what would you do to it to put some more pep in it's step.
I'd buy a 240sx for 1.5k and put in an SR20DET.
Bam.
Or a 91 Civic and put in an H22, but I have a feeling that's not the answer you're looking for.
555 is right, the Auto takes and already sluggish car and kills all of its enthusiasm

About the best thing you can do is put very light weight wheels and tires on it.. That will set you back around 25% of what you have to spend... It makes a surprising difference in many ways other than and as well as acceleration..

I do and also have a Fit.
The plan is to leave the 5Gs in the bank and keep
enjoying the Fit in stock form.
When I have the need or desire for more pep I will
purchase the appropriate vehicle.

Your best other alternative lies in a turbo add-on.
umm 5k? on my fit?
getting a stock k20 bam 5k out the door -_-
or
get a suspension setup ~1.2k+
sum wheel that i want with tires and some lugs ~1k+
additiional roof rack set ups such as cargo, gear basket, another bike rail, and snowboard rack, that like ~1k
new sound system (indash unit and the speakers) ~400
the rest on gas! lol

Now that I have re-read your post I am confused.
Do you mean putting more pep in your wife's step or the Fits?
5Gs will just be a start with the wife... you will need a lot more
cash.
Slow fit

Texas does have emissions testing in 9 various counties state wide. Which is kinda lame. :/
