2008 1.5 CVT RHD Sport Bumper Horn Location
My "Mango" looks just like the picture at the top!
Water landed inside the horn and I could not find the silly thing!
The noise and a very bright LED torch eventually got me to a different location to that described and photographed often in this forum. For my car, the horn is far below the Blue filler for the "upward rain", inside the right front wheel arch.
I was able to take off one Plastic and one Star screw and get my hands and spanner in the wheel well area to remove the 12mm nut. Then undo the electrical plug and as I took it to the bench, water drops came out already. Lots of air blast and shakes did not get all the water out and it still did not sound well. I carefully prised the plastic horn shape off and then was able to dry it fully and re-assemble same without problem.
Local quotation: 1 Hour labor R550 plus R450 for the horn, total R1000!
( In RSA a horn is called a hooter )
