My father's new toy

The good part is I can beat him with my Fit because he will never exceed 62mph (really). He never goes faster than 62mph in any vehicle.

And he got rid of this just before getting the Porsche. That is me about to take it OVER 62mph!

Why won't he go over 62?

There's no point in owning a 996 that won't get driven.

Because he's almost 73 and stuck in his ways. If he has to go over 62, he'll just leave earlier to get wherever on time.

LOL...I almost forgot his other car next to his new Dodge truck. He doesn't drive this either because the I-Drive intimidates him.

Reminds me of someone who never drove on the freeway. About the same age (way back when) and continued driving his routes from back before orchards and farms turned into buildings, roads and parking lots.

Nice ride btw! Shame it's a trophy but hey if he's happy, so be it. ;-)

Everyone should be happy with their own car choices, but me personally, I would certainly prefer the antique Corvette to a preowned 911! Either way you'll feel like you're driving a tractor; you might as well feel alive while you're doing it :P

I feel as though you have got a good deal - of the lot, that Corvette is hands down the one I'd have (well perhaps not as an everyday car, but, you know)

Should I go on? Oh I might as well. If you're a nerdy, wimpish 30-something as I am, girls will look at you in the Vette and go, "hey, nice car!" (I infer this because I have actually driven in such a car one time). In the Porsche, even if you are good looking and with lots of muscles, the girls may go, "man he has got to have the smallest
