Attn Fujita Cai Owners
Hi had recently had problems with my CAI along with a couple other people in posts recently about my intake bumping the airbag sensor and disarming it. I didn't want to get rid of it so I did the next best thing, I hacked it. I repositioned the filter down low behind the radiatior and in front of the tranny using the existing piping and cutting about 6 inches from the second bend. I cant put into words the difference!
It has a distinctly different sound, more throaty and the throttle response is much crisper.
Its maybe not a short ram but the reduced piping allows quicker engine response and it is getting more direct airflow through the front. I will take some pics if I figure out how to post pics later.

BUMP!!!!!! Need some pics so I do this right.
Are you cutting basically 6 inches off the end of the pipe where the filter mounts? Or are you completely removing the lower bend altogether so the filter cone is pointing down instead of horizontal? Details details details... I want more throttle response!
