Short Ram Intakes available?

Search after search, I can't find one! I want stick a short ram intake in my Fit, but I can't find anyone who has one. I'm not willing to pay over $150 for a pipe and filter.

Is there any available guys?

Ebay? Just buy an intake for a car with a decent bend/bends. Drill into the intake for the that little sensor, add a grommet. WEEEE!! Short ram!!!

Ghetto rig!

I went out to autozone and found out the intake I was looking at actually has different pipings made for it. So you can make all kinds of bends. And to find out, it's what "VividBlueFit" was talking about.

I just want a little noise. I'm sure it'll give me half of a horse power but this is good for now until Fujita or Tuan from A-Spec comes out with a intake.

VividBlueFit, did you have to buy a 90 degree elbow bend pipe? The kit I bought has a 45 degree. Seems like it will bump against the battery box. I guess I won't know until I install it.

I was going to go with a 90 degree bend from the throttle body, to a 45 degree, to a short straight pipe, and then the filter. But it ended up costing more if I was to peice it myself than to get the 45 degree bend kit with hose and clamps.

Waiting for your photos. I'll try to take some tonight too..

Here it is. Cheap $90 setup. I had to get a 90 Degree angle bend for the filter part.

I did notice alot more power too after adding the intake. The engine sounds really nice!!

Damn...,you guys are lucky. We get over a $300.00 fine Cdn with some EPA related fine and blah, blah, blah.

It would interesting to see how many States consider it legal.

Anyways, it is the down south pollution from the Ohio Valley which blows up here affecting our lush forest industry and maple syrup and in-turn we pass it on to Norway, Sweeden and Iceland.

THe reason for your CEL is that you assembled your intake with the key in the on position! And you disconnected the sensor for IAT! So just unplug your battery for 15mins and plug it back in! Good as new!
