Question: DIY Major Front End Collision Repair
I'm going to a private auction soon and this Fit has caught my interest.
I always wanted a Fit since they first came out.
Will this front end be expensive to fix if I do it all myself (including paint) and shop around for used parts?
I know a mid-to-late 90's Civic would be super cheap to fix if it had similar damage. I'm a total noob when it comes to the prices of parts for the Fit, though.

The quick answer is "yes." It will be costly (and time-consuming) and probably need some rather exotic tools. As there's substantial frame damage, you'll probably end up with a car that's much less safe in the event of another front-end collision, and quite possibly hard or impossible to get aligned properly. It's also impossible to tell what sort of internal damage may have been done to the engine and transmission.

And when DrewR said substantial frame damage, NO joke! Looks more like the whole front would need to be cut off and replaced...

well my air dam/splash shield and R F fender liner are trashed.... haha at least I now know what they will cost
There are a few people in CA that buy and flip salvaged GD Fits for reasonable prices (like <$7K) BUT none of those that I have seen have had anything more sever than purely cosmetic issues.

It's baffling and horrifying, but once a car has been dragon'd you want to abandon the fuck out of it.

Alright thanks guys.
My cousin who repairs cars said he could help me with this. He said he could get a front bumper for $30 etc. but seems like the alignment might be non fixable and possibly frame damage.
