So picking up a short ram want info on this brand

It's a weapon r short ram was gonna run it with a heatshield I have heard that with there intakes gains tend to be a little better because of the filter type, and the way the piping is made different than normal? Would this benefit the fit more? Even just a little? Since normally the gains are next to nothing on a fit? How about mpg increase? Any info appreciated. Thanks guys

I never felt a noticeable power difference when I have my filter on or off. Just noise.

Intakes on our Fits give us RESPONSE moreso then power.

The power part of it will come when we have a plug and play tuning solution.

My MPG increase from my modified intake came from me being able to BETTER understand when the car is lagging. In some cases around town, this allowed me to find out 3rd gear was better for 25mph driving then cruising in 5th.

The slightest uphill while in 5th knocked my mpg gauge down to 14ish. Staying in 3rd it stayed at or above 20mph when going uphill.

I also have my tires pumped up to 40psi which helped a lil with MPGs

So let me ask u this what mph do u shift into different gears to increase the mpg? And what mph do u shift to help the car go a little quicker? And the intake will help the car a little with getting up of the line?

Cuz I know with my focus it had a light built in that told you were to shift up to the next gear for best mpg and it did make a difference when shifting I'm that spot. However as far as the best spot to shift for pick up and best driving experience it wasn't where the light said to shift

Which model do you have. The GD will benefit from mods to the intake as the ECM does NOT cut back but the GE suffers from a "bloomberg" granny ECM that will try and reduce any mods back to stock status.

if you plan to do any kind of engine mods to your GD3 Fit I really recommend getting a flash pro. It will allow you to ge the most out of any moda you put on the caar
