2008 Fit Sport.
The steering wheel shroud keeps popping apart?!
I have popped it back in place a hundred times, taken it apart numerous times and the tabs are all fine and the little round tabs pop in place just fine but some days I go out there and it's popped apart again. It is driving me crazy.
I'm thinking of buying replacement parts in hopes mine are bad from the get go.
Been doing this since i bought it used 4yrs and 63k miles ago.

Anybody else have this problem and or a solution?

 

Are you talking about the part around the column behind the wheel?

Mine does that too and it pisses me off. It only does it on the side that faces the door but not the side with the key.

 

Yep, covers the column, the key, the control stalks.
Mine does it on the key side only... Annoying as hell!

Yea, it gets old. I gave up and got some zipties and ziptied it down. If it pops up again, I'm done I'll just take the thing off. -1lb of plastic. LOL

 

I'm live in Clearcreek Township (between Springboro and Lebanon).
It's not even a pound of weight if I had to guess. ~$30 for both parts to replace.
