GE8 Suspension Question

Hey guys, I have a question. I am currently running Swift springs and I need to replace my OEM suspension because of the mileage I have now over a 111 K. I talked to Chris over at RedShift/ Best suspension and he was unbelievable help. I would just like to get a few more opinions. Do you guys recommend replacement struts and shocks, buddy club n+, or Tanabe Sustec?

Or, ground control/swift combo? It is my DD that I put a lot of miles on but I also drive it pretty hard and may track it once in a great while.

Just curious, are the shocks already worn out? I just thought they would last a lot longer than that even with the Swift springs unless you're really rough on them.

I would go with stock replacements unless you have a need for coilovers. If you do want coilovers, I personally wouldn't recommend either of those brands. I have been very impressed with the Fortune coilovers I have seen and ran if you are on a budget. It is also hard to go wrong with KW or one of the "higher end" brands.

Bana3dr, I put the swifts on at about 75,000 miles. I do put my FIT through it's paces. (Coming from an S-Type Mini that was raced out)

I really appreciate the help. I'm not looking to spend a ton on suspension, as the swifts are AWSOME! I do ha the swifts, progress rsb in. I have a Blox fsb not in yet figured I'd have it put in with the new suspension.

Any one else have to make the same choice, what'd you do?

I'm thinking Koni Sports in the rear... And idk up front (yet).
Thoughts?

I would wait until the Koni STR.T comes out in a couple months and rock those.

If you can wait that long.

I might do the yellow sports in the rear for now, as they are needed. And, hold out for the fronts....

I think the yellows might be a bit much for the Swifts even at the softest setting. I've heard things that confirmed my suspicion which is why I won't run them with my Teins... just waiting for STR.T or will go Excel G if I end up waiting too long, my shocks are on their last leg.

Of course that totally depends on the driver and what they like... just something to think about.

Thanks dude! Yah, don't want to run any lower here in New England. I'd like to think I could hold out, but the oemrears have started leaking.

KYB Excel G rears are cheap as dirt. Like cheap enough I wouldn't even care if I ran them for 2k miles and changed them later. You can sell them to me after
