Dash Kit for Honda Fit Sport 2014
Dash Kit for Honda Fit Sport 2014
Hi everyone,
New 2014 Honda Fit Sport owner here. It's only been 6 days since I got it and I'm already trying to throw money at it.
I've got a ton of questions so I'm hoping I'll get some replies here since this place seems quite friendly!
I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Here is my issue:
I want to upgrade my audio system. I have other questions regarding audio systems, but this one is important because I will need this at some point. This is the only dash kit that I can find for a Honda Fit. However the model is for a 2013 model.
Metra 99-7877 In-Dash receiver kit Black
Honda Fit 2009- Up Black I, E, DD
I have contacted their support line and confirmed that they have not tested this in a 2014 model. Anyone know if this would work properly?
In regards to other audio questions, I've seen a lot of suggestions to upgrade the Stereo deck first on the forums here. I've also gone around to some local Car Audio stores to see what they had to say. So far, they suggest I keep the factory and get a mono sub with a subwoofer. I'm not looking to rattle my car windows with bass but just want my audio to hit a deeper bass than stock (like to listen to old school R&B, hip hop and dance).
So far, I have been shown this unit:
JL Audio CP108LG (The local store also has a 6" Sub of this version which I am eyeing)
JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3 8" Single 4ohm Low-profile Sub Enclosure at Crutchfield.ca
but I am also looking at:
Pioneer TS SWX251
Pioneer TS-SWX251 Subwoofer
My aim is to get some good sound, but also not make my car a target for break-ins (I live in Winnipeg, car related theft is quite high here). So I want to try to not have anything that is too visible by peering in. Any suggestions for some good subs that are easy to hide?
Also, is Crutchfield.ca reliable? Anyone order stuff from the Canadian version of Crutchfield?
