Exclamation Question about Fit Low beam headlight recall

My left side H4 plug for the headlight is corroded and I was wondering if it's part of the recall. The plug is corroded and the plastic has melted. I be able to use high beam but not low beam. If not, can you point me to the direction so I can get it fix. Sorry I don't have picture. Thanks

I'm not completely sure but it might be an issue towards the recall.

I found all 4 recalls listed on here:

Reading the recall, it doesn't sound like a melted connector is part of it.

When I drove the Pathfinder, I used a (what I now consider shady) brand of H4 bulb. It was one of those "whiter" lights, in which the bulb was tinted blue. It seems like it drew too much power and melted the connector. I had to go to a NAPA store to buy a replacement plug... and it works now, even though the wire itself was actually fried too. I traced it a little distance from the connector end and the insulation was melted off the now oxidated wire (burnt). Oddly enough, the harness wrapping was still intact.

Thanks for the feedback. They said it is not part of the recall and I will buy a new connector to replace it as suggested. Thanks again

This usually happen when your are running generic brand bulbs. Happened to me a lot of times when I used to use nokya brand hyper yellow bulbs. Then I switch to Philips diamond vision and my harness stopped burning out. Had to replace my harness 3 times before I switched.

I just went in for the recall yesterday and they took longer than I would have liked but I didn't mind. Some will say it will take half a day but in reality it'll only take a hour or so. I have yet to test it if it will fix my issues but I'll get some replacement bulbs tomorrow for sure.

Is the connector exposed to the elements?

Seems like Honda could do a better job of sealing them. See my posts about the wife's Fit.
